Feb. 27, Mar. 26, April 23>>CANCELLED, May 28 (Thursdays)

DESCRIPTION:

To practice yoga is to know yourself. Your mind and your body. Your fears and your limits. Your ego and your wisdom. Your ignorance and your strengths.

To become an effective yoga teacher, knowledge of anatomy is essential. The more you understand the physical body and how it moves, the better you will know your own practice and the more capable you will be to teach others.

In Yuko's new 4-class experiential anatomy for yoga course, we will again explore human anatomy as it applies to movement and the practice of asana. We will delve into the specific anatomy of the shoulder, pelvis and other areas of the body that are prone to soft-tissue injury as we examine common injuries and ways that your yoga practice can facilitate healing and serve for injury prevention.  Each session involves lecture, discussion and hands-on work.

Each class is available on drop-in basis. Reservations are not required.
